MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST AVIARY

M I S S I S S I P P I       G U L F       C O A S T        A V I A R Y

The vertical aviary and bird sanctuary is an architectural response to the horrific chemical dispersants spread throughout the Gulf of Mexico after the blowout preventor failure on the deepwater horizon drilling rig blew 210,000,000 gallons of oil out of its head.

Powered by the prevailing gulf winds, twin contra-rotating vertical axis wind turbines transfer the aerodynamic wind pressure forces into mechanical force into rotational torque turning dual electromagnetic direct current generators.
